1.What cookies are
Cookies are small files a site stores in your browser so it can recognise you on the next request. Without them you could not, for example, stay signed in to your participant account.
We use a small number of our own cookies, and third-party marketing tools load only if you accept them.
2.What we actually use
- golf_user
- keeps you signed in to your participant account. Strictly necessary, valid for 30 days.
- golf_admin
- the session of the team administering the site. Strictly necessary, valid for 8 hours.
- golf_oauth_state
- protects Google sign-in against forged requests. Strictly necessary, valid for a few minutes.
- golf-cookie-consent
- remembers your choice from the cookie banner, so we do not ask on every visit. Kept both in your browser and in a cookie of the same name, for 6 months.
- Marketing pixels (Meta, TikTok)
- measure how well word about the event is reaching people. They load only after you press “Accept”, and only if the organiser has enabled them.
- Traffic statistics
- page visited, language, referrer, device type and an anonymised IP address. Enabled only if you press “Accept”.
The statistics are our own, collected on our own server, and we use them only to understand which parts of the site are useful.
3.Third-party cookies
If you accept cookies, the site loads the Meta and TikTok pixels. They can record the pages you visit and key actions — a registration, a donation — and may set their own cookies, so we can measure how effective our promotion of the event is. If you decline, they are not loaded at all.
When you pay by card you are redirected to Stripe, and if you choose Google sign-in you are redirected to Google. These may set their own cookies, on their own domains, under their own privacy policies.
4.Changing your choice
You can decline statistics directly in the banner shown on your first visit. Afterwards, you can clear the data this site has stored from your browser settings, under cookies and site data — the banner will appear again on your next visit.
Blocking strictly necessary cookies makes it impossible to sign in or complete a donation.
5.Updates
If we add or remove cookies, we update this list and the date at the top of the page.
